The New Ford S-Max.

The recently introduced Ford S-Max sets a new standard for MPVs (multi purpose vehicles)

The design is an expression of energy, even when the vehicle is stationary. A drivers car because it has been designed around you. With a spacious and flexible interior there are 32 ways to arrange the seats. The second and third row of seats will fold flat to give numerous passenger and luggage possibilities.

Passenger protection is paramount. Beneath the steel safety cage there is a comprehensive airbag system, three point seat belt pre-tensioners and colapsable steering column and pedals.

Drivers and front passenger airbags give instant protection in the event of a head-on collision. Also standard are front seat side airbags, first and second row curtain airbags for side impact protection and thanks to the new drivers knee bolster airbag, greater knee protection.

Anti-lock braking and electronic brakeforce distribution are also standard.

Stay in control with "adaptive cruise control", "forward alert" gives an audible warning when there is a danger of colliding with a vehicle in front and "emmergency brake assist" prepares the braking system for emergency use. When stationary on a hill, the brakes stay on for an instant to give enough time to move the foot from the brake pedal to the accelerator. Items in this paragraph are available at extra cost on certain models.
