The Ford S-Max sets a new standard for MPVs (multi purpose vehicles)

The design is an expression of energy, even when the vehicle is stationary. A drivers car because it has been designed around you. With a spacious and flexible interior there are 32 ways to arrange the seats. The second and third row of seats will fold flat to give numerous passenger and luggage possibilities.

Passenger protection is paramount. Beneath the steel safety cage there is a comprehensive airbag system, three point seat belt pre-tensioners and colapsable steering column and pedals.

Drivers and front passenger airbags give instant protection in the event of a head-on collision. Also standard are front seat side airbags, first and second row curtain airbags for side impact protection and thanks to the new drivers knee bolster airbag, greater knee protection.

Anti-lock braking and electronic brakeforce distribution are also standard.

The LX version of the new Ford S-max has all the essential features with an abbundance of style. Including:- 16" steel wheels, Front fog lights, Power operated and heated door mirrors with side indicators, steering wheel toggle contols for audio and trip computer, CFC-free air conditioning, 7 seats with the already mentioned fold flat sysyem, power operated front windowl, remote central locking, trip computer, anti-lock brakes, "quickclear" heated front screen, Thatcham approved perimeter and volume sensing alarm and the above mentioned intelligent protection system.

The Zetec version effortlessly merges sports styling with a flexible and spacious interior including:-16" alloy wheels with locking nuts, leather trimmed steering wheel and gear knob, sports-style seats with drivers lumbar adjustment, dual zone automatic CFC free temperature control, power operated front and rear windows with global opening/close, tonneau cover and body coloured door handles and grill surround.
