The New Ford Focus 2011

A new Ford Focus is about to be announced by Ford and it will be in Burns Garages showroom within days rather than weeks! Our official launch will be in our Canal Street Congleton showroom in Cheshire at 7.0 pm on March 11th. Don't miss it.

The new Focus will initially come in 5 door hatch-back and 5 door estate. Trim levels will be the entry level edge, followed by the sporty Zetec and then the luxury titanium and titanium X versions.

A range of engines will be available, with the Bridgend-built 1.6-litre direct injection and the turbocharged "Ecoboost" petrol engine offered in 105, 125 and150PS guises. Auto stop-start is a standard feature on all these engines to help reduce emissions even further and to raise fuel economy. On the diesel front, the Dagenham-built 1.6 TDCI diesel will be available with95 and 115PS outputs.

The new Focus comes equiped with a vast array of high-tech systems designed to make it safer and easier to use. Te range of technologies include :-

Low speed safety system, this is designed to mitigate low speed crashes by using a laser to monitor vehicles in front. If this vehicle brakes suddenly, the system primes the brakes ready and, if the driver does not react, applies the brakes.

Fully automatic parking system - the car will park itself with the driver just using the pedals and not steering at all!

Lane keeping aid. This alerts the drivers when theyn stray out of their lane.

Torque Vectoring Control which brakes the front wheels when cornering to reduce understeer.
