The power is produced by a responsive 1.6 petrol duratec engine, a 1.8 petrol duratec or a 2.0 petrol duratec engine. There is a choice between a 1.6 diesel duratorq, a 1.8 diesel duratorq and a 2.0 diesel duratorq. Then there is the 1.8 litre duratec flexifuel for a natural approach to alternative fuel. The flexifuel engine can run on petrol, bioethanol or a mixture of the two offering a 70% reduction in the carbon dioxide emissions compared with a petrol engine without any loss of performance. Because bioethanol is plant based, the CO2 emitted at the tailpipe is broadly equal to the CO2 absorbed while the plants were growing.

Ford designers have included everything that you would like in your next new car and then added things that you probably hadn't even thought about. Like handy drivers side stowage for your sunglasses, a lidded compartment on the front passengers side for safe keeping of maps and papers, the centre console holds a 1.5 litre bottle or 9 33cl cans and has a sliding centre armrest for maximum comfort whatever the seat position. There is underfloor storage in front of the back seats which is so useful for keeping personal items out of view. A handy 230v power converter makes your mobile phone, laptop, digital camera even more portable.
