The Ford Focus was the best selling car in the country in 2004. It was therefore a bold move for Ford to introduce it's replacement whilst it was at the height of it's popularity.

The New Ford Focus is in every way a new vehicle. It is not a "facelift" on the old model. It is a new shape, slightly wider and longer and it incorporated a lot of new ground breaking technology. At the moment there is the 3door, the 5 door and the estate car versions available with the 4 door to follow shortly.

At the rear of th New Ford Focus, the aclaimed "control blade multi-link suspension" allows each wheel to react independently, increasing stability andboostind passive rear wheel steer - particularly helpful foremergency high speed manoeuvres like changing lanes.

Similar inginuity is to be found in the "electric hydraulic power-assisted" steering. Fitted to the 2 litre duratec petrol and all the diesel engines, it delivers a reduced steering effort at low speeds, and progressive feed-bach as speed increases.
