Ford are at the forefront with their technology and find themselves well in front of many so called "prestige" manufacturers. The vehicles can be seen and tried at our Canal Street Congleton showroom in Cheshire and here are some of them explained:-

ECOnetic. Ford have developed a range of highly advanced, environmentally friendly vehicles that create less polution and will ultimately save customers money too. Currently there are 4 models in the ECOnetic line up, Fiesta, Focus, Fiesta Van and Transit van. There will be more to follow.

The 2011 New Focus ECOnetic features new technologies including "auto stop-start", "smart regenerative charging", Ford ECO mode and low tension FEAD (front end accessory drive). When equiped with auto stop-start the Ford ECOnetic can achieve CO2 emissions of just 99g/kg with combined fuel consumption of 76.3mpg. Even without the auto stop-start emissions are just 104g/kg and fuel consumption is just 70.6mpg.

The smallest ECOnetic model, the Fiesta is one of the most fuel efficient 5 seat family cars in the UK. Not only does it achieve outstanding combines fuel economy of 76.3mpg but has the incredibly low CO2 emission of 98g/kg. There is no road tax to pay what so ever.

Auto stop-start automatically switches off the engine when the vehicle comes to a halt and starts again when the clutch pedal is pressed before moving off thus saving fuel.

Smart Regenerative charging converts the kinetic energy produced when braking into electric energy thus saving fuel.

Ford Eco mode informs the driver how economically they are driving.
