Burns Economy Challenge

From Friday April 4th 2009 for one month, Burns are running an economy driving competition encouraging drivers to "go green".

The competition was launched by olympic gold medalist Ann Brightwell and the four-week drive green competition invites road users to drive the company's brand new eco-car to determine who is the "greenest" driver. Ann Brightwell took part in a similar competition in 1982 in conjunction with Burns of Congleton.

Each week a winner will be revealed and after the four weeks the four winners will be entered into the final where they will be asked to drive a fixed route in the same car.

The final results will be announced at a dinner attended by each of the weekly winners and their partners, Ann and Robbie Brightwell and directors of Burns Garages Ltd.

The overall winner will receive a luxury weekend break for two at the Riverside House Hotel in Ashford-in-the-Water which is a very picturesque Derbyshire "Peak District" village.

The competition is taking place at Burns Garages Ltd. Congleton, Cheshire and the vehicle being used is the New Ford Ka Zetec diesel. The vehicle includes :-
